Restaurant Franchises to Consider Owning in 2020
I know we’re in the middle of a global pandemic and not many people are considering opening a restaurant franchise right now, but let’s think positive! COVID-19 won’t last forever and people still need to eat regardless of what’s going on around them. Restaurants are still profiting and many have changed their business models and menus in order to stay in business. It’s an ever-evolving industry and now more than ever, we’re going to see creativity and innovation. This is a list of five restaurant franchises to consider owning in 2020.
Chick-fil-A
I was driving out to Cleveland, Ohio last week and wanted to stop somewhere for a quick bite to eat. I saw an exit that had a Chick-fil-A and thought I’d stop there. It was 1:30 p.m. on a Thursday and the drive-thru line must have had 40 cars waiting. It’s truly amazing how this restaurant chain continues to grow and profit. The food is always delicious (for a fast food restaurant) and the employees are always courteous and polite. While it can be extremely difficult to be accepted as a franchise owner of a Chick-fil-A, the average store has a gross profit of 4.8M per year, so it’s well worth it.
Eat Mor Chickin
Eat Mor Chickin. Eat fewer bats. There have been some controversies about Chick-fil-A in the past but it hasn’t seemed to affect their sales or growth. They still stick to their traditions and do not work on Sundays which also gives you a day off once a week! Chick-fil-A has been around since 1946 and has 2605 locations, so I don’t see them going away anytime soon. If you don’t have a Chick-fil-A in your area and you have some cash you want to invest somewhere, Chick-fil-A may be a good option for you.
Everbowl and The Key to Life
Everbowl is an acai (and more) bowl restaurant which continues to grow and evolve. They have 25 locations, mainly on the west coast and the concept and presentation is flawless. You can create your own bowl or choose from their signature bowls. You can even grab one of their super-fuel coffees and enjoy that with your meal. Their niche is healthy super-food/super-fuel.
Their healthy model seems to be working for them. Their motto is “unevolve” which essentially means to get back to our roots and eat the way we’re meant to, “living actively and eating stuff that’s been around forever.” I must admit, I’m a huge acai bowl fan, so this one was a no-brainer for me. Regardless, I don’t see this restaurant chain slowing down anytime soon.
Invest in Everbowl; invest in your health and the health of the community.
Blaze Pizza
I love any “build your own” restaurant. Pizza is at the top of my list of favorite foods. Blaze Pizza covers both of those areas and they make saucy, delectable pies. When I first came across Blaze Pizza, it was a revelation for me. It was the simplicity of a Chipotle but for pizza. What a simple yet genius idea! I went through the toppings linet as they popped the pizza in the oven and out came a perfect pie in minutes. Not only do they have a great final product, but they also have dessert options. I often find myself looking for Blaze Pizza chains while on my travel excursions. In business for 9 years now, they have 300 locations across the US. Stop into one if you get a chance, you won’t be disappointed.
